New Members Spring 2013

May 29, 2013

On May 24, 2013, the Alpha Zeta Betas initiated our Delta Pledge Class, consisting of nine incredible young men who have demonstrated themselves to be true Men of Principle. The fourth initiated pledge class consists of the following New Brothers:

Michael Anderson
Ross Baker
Sam Carpenter
Collin Hearrell
Cameron Hickert
Andrew McClaskey
Brandon Odenheimer
Alexander Shefrin
Nicolas Wu

These new brothers have earned their place in the brotherhood through strong performance throughout the pledge process, and have all demonstrated excellence in their own unique ways. We congratulate our new brothers immensely – the future of Alpha Zeta looks brighter every day as we continue to add excellent young men to our fledgling Chapter!

New Members Fall 2012

September 26, 2012

On September 25, 2012, the newly recolonized and thriving group of Alpha Zeta Betas inducted our third pledge class after a strong recruitment season, which culminated in the selection of eighteen excellent gentlemen whom we believe have the potential to become true Men of Principle. The third pledge class consists of the following New Members:

Alan Ha
Alexander Rogachevsky
Andrew Smith
Ben Traut
Cam Welch
Conor Hoolihan
Cyrus Pearo
Dalton Handy
Evan Suber
John Rider
Kraig McGee III
Logan Bohlender
Matt Chu
Ryan Stowe
Spencer O’Keefe
Tyler Reveille
Will Huesing
Zane Sanchez

All eighteen of these men have now begun their journey to become initiated brothers of Beta Theta Pi.

These men were selected from a larger group of highly qualified men through the formal recruitment process in September. As the cream of the crop, the pledges have demonstrated their capacity for eloquence and thoughtfulness, and have clearly proven that their values align with those of our Great and Good Fraternity by engaging in deep, meaningful conversation with actives prior to being deemed fit to receive bids.

These new inductees have many accomplishments thus far in their young lives – and we are certain they are but the first of many accolades to come. Our new pledges have the following achievements under their belts: Pioneer Leadership Program, University Honors Program, high school valedictorians, National Honors Society members, All-State athletes, AP Students, IB Students, men involved in their religious organizations, countless volunteer hours, and much more.

The formal pledge education program commences this Sunday, September 30, 2012. During this process we expect our pledges to grow immensely through meaningful values-based interaction as well as education in the history and lore of the Fraternity. Current VP of Education Wyeth Seidel will be managing the Pledge Education process, and any alumni who would like to see certain traditions from the old chapter revived are encouraged to contact him.

The Beta Spirit is in full swing around the house right now, and the future of Alpha Zeta looks as bright as the three stars of Beta Theta Pi.

New Members Spring 2012

April 24, 2012

On April 9, 2012 the newly recolonized chapter of Beta Theta Pi, the Alpha Zeta chapter, inducted their second pledge class. The ceremony was attended by all the brothers, as well as an adviser and an alumnus, and all in attendance are excited for the future of the fraternity.  The second pledge class consists of:

Christopher Bandrowsky
Max Gleicher
Matt Jarvis
Daniel Kim
James McShane
Mackenzie Nelson
Max Spiro
James Taravella
William Wallace
Wesley Yarborough

All of whom have begun their journey to become initiated brothers of the fraternity.

These men were selected from a larger group of highly qualified men through the formal recruitment process in March. The pledges spoke eloquently, were actively engaged with the recruitment activities, possess incredible potential, and above all else demonstrated that they are men of principle.

These new inductees have many accomplishments including being involved with the Pioneer Leadership Program, University Honors Program, high school valedictorians, National Honors Society members, All-State athletes, men involved in their religious organizations, countless volunteer hours, founded non-profit organizations, state and national champion athletes, and much more.

The gentlemen have begun the education process on the fraternity’s values and history and will continue this process in the upcoming weeks. They have all demonstrated great care in their pursuit of this knowledge and already have shown measurable growth in their personal and social knowledge.

The Alpha Zeta chapter is excited for these new members to grow into the brotherhood and have already seen the pledges around the house often and are starting to feel a strong connection with these new members.
